Solutions Engineer - Enterprise (Data Center and Cloud)

Location: Remote, but residence in the surrounding Minneapolis, Minnesota area is required; travel to SHI, partner, and customer events may be required.

Estimated annual pay range: $160,000–$260,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
• Design and propose infrastructure solutions aligned with customer business objectives, needs, and budgets.
• Identify technology opportunities across data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services areas.
• Build technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners and maintain current product knowledge.
• Provide product training, technical education, and technical-selling guidance to sales teams and customers.
• Manage the solution practice pipeline, develop strategies for key prospects, and advise CIOs, IT directors, CTOs, and other client contacts.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role and a bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Experience with complex data center sales opportunities and designing hybrid cloud, hyper-converged, software-defined data center, infrastructure-as-a-service, automation, containerization, and data center management solutions.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation.
• Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs and articulating value propositions.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and active/standby or active/active solutions.
• Working knowledge of Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
