What you will do
- Lead Infrastructure Engineers and Cloud Platform Engineers across managed and co-managed services.
- Translate technical standards from Principal Engineers into clear operational expectations and consistent team practices.
- Manage performance, objectives, coaching, appraisals, career development and capability planning.
- Coordinate workload, service coverage, priorities and escalations across multiple customer environments.
- Oversee patching, maintenance, backup, capacity, lifecycle and vulnerability-remediation commitments.
- Support customer and service onboarding, operational readiness, risk identification and continual improvement.
Requirements
- Experience leading infrastructure, cloud platform or technical operations teams in managed or co-managed services.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud, public cloud and virtualization technologies, including VMware and Nutanix.
- Understanding of compute, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, availability, capacity, lifecycle and resilience.
- Direct people-management experience covering 1:1s, objectives, appraisals, coaching, performance management and career development.
- Experience with service management, incident and problem management, change, request, service transition and continual improvement.
- Commercial and operational awareness across workload planning, customer onboarding, scope control, contract commitments and operational risk.
