Associate Director, Global Pain Forecasting & Analytics (Biopharma)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid work is available up to two days remotely per week, or the role may be performed on-site five days per week.

Base salary: $161,900–$242,900 per year, plus potential annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, refinement, and ongoing evolution of global Pain forecast models across current and pipeline assets.
• Support long-range planning, operational forecasting, scenario planning, portfolio prioritization, lifecycle planning, and launch readiness.
• Integrate clinical data, epidemiology, claims analysis, competitive intelligence, analog performance, market research, access dynamics, inventory trends, and market signals into forecast assumptions.
• Translate complex quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear recommendations, performance drivers, sensitivities, risks, and uncertainties for senior leadership.
• Partner with Global Pain Marketing, Global Commercial Strategy, Finance, Pricing and Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, regional teams, and external research partners.
• Coordinate forecasting assumptions and analytical alignment across global and regional commercial functions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals in a quantitative discipline such as Commercial, Global Commercial Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or Consulting.
• Deep experience with forecasting across early clinical, launch, and in-line stages; experience with marketed products and global assets is strongly preferred.
• Strong commercial and analytical acumen, including market access, positioning, unmet-need assessment, go-to-market strategy, and competitive landscape analysis.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills and familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, Python, SAS, and VBA.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; MBA, MS, or PhD preferred.
• Strong communication, influence, problem-structuring, and senior stakeholder advisory skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Pain, neuroscience, or adjacent therapeutic areas.
• Experience incorporating primary market research into forecasting models and assumptions.
• Familiarity with generative and agentic AI tools for analytical workflows.
