Associate Director, Portfolio Strategy (Oncology)

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $148,900–$198,900 annually base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus plan and equity awards.

What you will do

• Maintain and refine portfolio information with Project Teams, R&D and commercial leadership, Governance committees, Finance, Forecasting, and Competitive Intelligence.
• Integrate probability of success, timelines, scenarios, sensitivity analyses, platform approaches, asset strategy, disease strategy, and franchise perspectives into portfolio reporting.
• Provide analytical input for dashboards, predictive models, scenario simulators, and automated competitive-intelligence feeds.
• Own the analytics layer of portfolio governance, creating consistent and reusable models for committee materials.
• Translate quantitative outputs into clear narratives and visualizations for senior R&D and Commercial leadership.
• Support structured portfolio prioritization reviews and act as a methodological resource for valuation and risk inputs.

Requirements

• Prior experience in portfolio strategy and management, preferably in biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences consulting.
• Demonstrated fluency in eNPV modeling, probability-of-success-weighted valuation, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and portfolio-level resource optimization.
• Experience translating complex quantitative analysis into recommendations for senior executives or governance audiences.
• Experience with pharmaceutical R&D or commercial decision-support approaches and stage-gate or investment governance processes.
• Working knowledge of oncology value drivers, including companion diagnostics, accelerated regulatory pathways, HTA frameworks, and combination or platform strategies.
• Strong collaboration, analytical thinking, data analysis, and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience in a large biotech or pharmaceutical organization.
• Experience guiding AI-enabled approaches such as predictive analytics, automated assumption flagging, or natural-language synthesis of competitive intelligence.
