Casualty Field Adjuster

Location: Fully remote and home-based in Preston, covering caseloads in the North West of England; travel in this area is necessary.

What you will do

• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, brokers, and other parties.
• Investigate allocated casualty and liability claims in the field or from the desk.
• Gather evidence, compile documentation, and prepare preliminary reports covering policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics.
• Determine appropriate resolution strategies and defend or negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits.
• Progress cases in line with client requirements and documented procedures, maintaining accurate reserves through regular review.
• Keep technical knowledge current and participate in company training programmes.

Requirements

• Experience as a casualty adjuster or investigator is suitable, although industry experience is not essential.
• Ability and ambition to develop the skills and knowledge required for the role.
• Must be home-based in the North West of England and able to travel within the area.
• Ability to investigate claims, assess liability and quantum, prepare reports, and negotiate or defend settlements.
