Claims Coordinator (Insurance)

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK. Hybrid working pattern with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Starting salary: £25,500 per year

What you will do

• Assess and manage dental and health claims from initial submission through settlement.
• Communicate with customers through multiple channels and provide a high standard of service.
• Review claim information and make fair, accurate decisions based on policy terms and conditions.
• Explain claim outcomes and policy coverage clearly to customers.
• Agree settlements within authority levels and escalate cases when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records, meet regulatory and quality standards, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in customer service, administration, or a claims environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions.
• Positive, team-focused approach and willingness to learn.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, or relevant practical experience.
