Field Claims Representative (Property and Casualty)

Location: Knoxville, TN; candidates must reside near or around Williamson and Davison counties. Initial training is in person, followed by a leadership-defined work-from-home schedule.

What you will do

• Investigate claims, assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate losses, and analyze legal liability.
• Handle multi-line property and casualty claims in an assigned territory, with an emphasis on property claims.
• Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to assess coverage.
• Resolve claims and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when necessary.
• Issue accurate and timely claim payments and conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience handling property and casualty claims.
• At least 3 years of experience handling multi-line property and casualty claims, with an emphasis on property claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, data interpretation, and issue-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, work with diverse individuals, and accurately handle mathematical and financial calculations.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive an automobile, and a driving record meeting company underwriting guidelines.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

• Field claims handling experience.
• Knowledge of Xactimate software.
