Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the Superior Boiler manufacturing facility in Hutchinson, Kansas, Monday–Friday. Approximately 10% travel is required.

What you will do

• Lead the finance and accounting function supporting manufacturing plant operations and corporate objectives.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasts, budgeting, reporting, and decision support for plant and business leadership.
• Manage internal controls, SOX compliance, statutory reporting, audit coordination, and financial risk mitigation.
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, inventory accounting, warranty accruals, and project accounting.
• Develop financial models and improve end-to-end accounting processes, documentation, systems, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead and develop direct reports while partnering with Finance, Operations, auditors, and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance or controllership experience in complex manufacturing environments, including public-company experience.
• Strong expertise in Percentage-of-Completion accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SOX regulations, including Section 404, and experience implementing and monitoring compliance controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, and large-scale data organization.
• Must establish employment eligibility in the United States and successfully complete background checks and pre-employment testing.

• MBA degree.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and ERP implementations.
