Health Scientist II (Public Health Evaluation)

Salary: $97,600–$115,000 annually, with the final offer dependent on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Conduct national and programmatic assessments of public health program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes.
• Develop evaluation plans, questions, indicators, logic models, and outcome measures.
• Design and conduct implementation research focused on fidelity, reach, adaptations, barriers, facilitators, and contextual factors.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and report quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods program data.
• Facilitate internal and external partner meetings and provide evaluation training, technical assistance, and consultation to CDC staff, recipients, and partners.
• Use CDC administrative systems, including Human Subjects, OMB, IRB, and E-Clearance systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in public health, health science, epidemiology, evaluation, social science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in public health evaluation, health science, implementation research, or program evaluation.
• Experience with national assessments, evaluation planning, logic models, mixed-methods research, and public health program assessment.
• Knowledge of intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation procedures.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required customer clearance and complete any applicable government background investigation or security clearance.
