Field Applications Scientist (Bioprocessing)

Location: Remote - California, United States; up to 50% domestic travel and occasional international travel.

Estimated base salary: $100,000–$146,000 per year, plus eligible bonus or commission and potential equity.

What you will do

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for XCell ATF, Spectrum Hollow Fiber, TFDF Technology, and KrosFlo TFF System product lines.
• Deliver technical seminars and product demonstrations, and provide on-site and in-lab customer support.
• Develop and execute project plans for customers evaluating and implementing hirify.global technologies.
• Analyze customer processes and data to identify optimization and process-improvement opportunities.
• Troubleshoot technical and process challenges, perform root cause analysis, and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Prepare technical protocols, reports, application summaries, and customer-facing resources while sharing insights with Product Management, R&D, and Marketing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in cell culture process development, manufacturing, technical support, or a related bioprocessing function.
• Working knowledge of perfusion, ATF/TFF, scale-up and scale-down methodologies, technology transfer, and cGMP requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, data interpretation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple customer and business needs, and collaborate in a global cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English required; flexible hours and up to 50% domestic travel are required.
