Senior Project Manager - Broadcast Media

Location: Virtual role associated with Atlanta, GA, USA; preference for candidates in the Northeast or Southeast. Occasional in-person client meetings and approximately 10% travel are expected.

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Own broadcast consulting and design/build projects from initiation through closing.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, staffing, deliverables, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate internal teams, clients, contractors, consultants, account executives, directors, and subject matter experts.
• Lead project meetings, communication, documentation reviews, status updates, and transition to later-phase teams.
• Monitor labor budgets, project financials, profitability, billings, timelines, and staffing.
• Resolve technical, political, and people-related problems while driving continuous improvement and safe site visits.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, especially consulting.
• 5+ years managing complex broadcast infrastructure or projects valued at $10–30M, matrix-managing more than 6 professionals, and managing annual budgets above $1M.
• Knowledge of broadcast operations, broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, production systems, and media and entertainment workflows.
• Understanding of HD, UHD, HDR, analog, SDI, SMPTE 2110, TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and wireless access points.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, delegation, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for reimbursed business travel.

Nice to have

• Project Management Institute certification.
• Certified Scrum Master certification and knowledge of Agile project management.
• Experience with cloud technologies, program management, organizational change, systems integration, and architectural or construction documentation.
