Salary: $115,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Lead physical environment assessments and multiday surveys of healthcare facilities.
  • Document findings, develop plans of correction, and help clients address NFPA, CMS, accreditation, and authority having jurisdiction requirements.
  • Assess emergency management programs, conduct hazard vulnerability analyses, and develop policies, procedures, training, and simulation exercises.
  • Deliver fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention training in hands-on and classroom settings.
  • Manage client engagements, maintain stakeholder relationships, and support proposals, business development, industry events, and presentations.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and stay current with regulatory and accreditation changes.

Requirements

  • At least five years of healthcare consulting or compliance experience covering life safety, environment of care or physical environment, and emergency management.
  • Experience leading client engagements, working with stakeholders, and implementing solutions.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 101, NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, NFPA 99, NFPA 1600, CMS requirements, and healthcare accreditation standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information to varied audiences.
  • Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and learn new technology platforms.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in fire protection, fire science, safety, emergency management, or a related field is preferred; an associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.

Nice to have

  • CHFM or CFPS certification.
  • Experience identifying new business opportunities or expanding client relationships.
