TL;DR
Senior Management Consultant (Federal IT): Providing strategic business advice and full life-cycle acquisition support for federal IT programs with an accent on cost accounting, portfolio management, and contract oversight. Location: Washington, DC, United States; hybrid with primarily remote work and occasional onsite attendance required

Salary: USD 130,000–160,000 per year

What you will do

  • Provide strategic business advice and full life-cycle acquisition support for federal IT programs.
  • Establish cost accounting frameworks for IT infrastructure and business services, including reconciled data and dynamic reporting.
  • Develop program review processes connecting service-level achievement, costs, and portfolio performance.
  • Support CORs with budget execution, accrued expenditure estimates, contract monitoring, financial reporting, and level-of-effort tracking.
  • Prepare acquisition documents, IGCEs, market research, source-selection materials, and acquisition briefings.
  • Monitor contractor performance through QASP processes, validation and verification, acceptance reviews, deficiency documentation, and CPARS support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, IT, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar role supporting a federal agency.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large projects and budgets.
  • Knowledge of program control, financial analysis, contracts management, federal IT acquisitions, and federal-sector operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, organizational, analytical, and IT-business skills.
  • Availability for occasional onsite work in Washington, DC is required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree.
  • PMP certification.
