Computer Vision, Fall/Winter 2026 (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Bruno, California, United States

Salary: $35–$45 per hour, excluding benefits and potential equity.

What you will do

• Build and improve computer vision models for material and food recognition, including detection, segmentation, and classification.
• Curate, explore, and quality-assure large image and video datasets, identifying failure modes, duplicates, and labeling issues.
• Develop scalable training pipelines and experiment-tracking tools to make experiments reproducible and easy to compare.
• Design and run rigorous model evaluations and contribute to progress measurement.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to move research results toward production devices and users.
• Document methods and share findings with the Computer Vision team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and hands-on experience with a deep-learning framework.
• Solid grounding in modern computer vision, including object detection, segmentation, and representation learning.
• Experience training and evaluating models on real-world datasets.
• Interest in translating research skills into practical, shipped systems.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps and experiment-tracking tools such as ClearML, Weights & Biases, or MLflow.
• Experience with dataset-management and curation tools such as FiftyOne, CVAT, or Roboflow.
• Familiarity with data and training pipelines, AWS or GCP, and Docker or Kubernetes.
• Publications or open-source contributions in computer vision or machine learning.
