Plant Engineer (Foundry Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects covering equipment design, installation, modification, and optimization.
• Work with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Improve foundry systems, including melt operations, molding, core-making, and sand reclamation.
• Define project scopes, budgets, and schedules while managing contractors and vendors.
• Support safety, environmental compliance, continuous improvement, documentation, and equipment performance analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing or plant engineering experience; foundry or heavy industrial experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, cross-functional leadership, and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
