Mechanical Engineer (Marine)

What you will do

• Design and assemble mechanical and electromechanical components for digital switching products used by OEM boat manufacturers.
• Develop concepts, 3D models, material selections, stress analyses, drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Participate in the full product development cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, validation, launch, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Conduct design reviews and validation tests, including salt-spray and lifecycle testing.
• Manage production bills of materials and contribute to make-versus-buy decisions.
• Coordinate project plans, cross-functional activities, status reporting, and supplier relationships.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience with electromechanical products.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, PDMLink/Windchill, or similar CAD suites.
• Experience with volume production processes, materials, coatings, instrumentation, sensors, test equipment, and MRP systems.
• Knowledge of design procedures, engineering simulation tools, test methodology, design of experiments, QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA, and ISO 9001.
• Working knowledge of UL, CSA, CE, SAE, ASTM, ISO, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
