Manufacturing Technician (Uncrewed Systems)

Location: Bedfordshire, United Kingdom; three-month contract with back-at-base work and field testing support as required.

What you will do

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components for uncrewed systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maintain operational readiness and system longevity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware faults at the base.
• Carry out repairs, upgrades, and structural modifications using engineering schematics.
• Deploy to field testing sites to provide technical support, rapid repairs, and hardware troubleshooting without operating the systems directly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, preferably in aerospace, robotics, or automotive environments.
• Strong practical ability in hardware fault diagnosis and complex systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Consent to workforce screening, including security checks, reference checks, and verification of working rights.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with civil and military aviation regulations and standards, including CAA, MAA, and EASA.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance at SC level.
