Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjuster (Remote)

Location: Remote within the United States; must be located in the Eastern Time Zone and work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Salary: $70,000-$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage Workers' Compensation claims from intake through closure, including compensability, benefit eligibility, and reserve decisions.
• Investigate claims through interviews and documentation review, develop claim strategies, and identify early-resolution opportunities.
• Monitor medical treatment, coordinate return-to-work efforts, and administer indemnity benefits.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and support hearings, mediations, and settlements.
• Provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with state regulations and internal standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Workers' Compensation claims-handling experience.
• Municipality or public entity experience and presumption experience.
• Active Florida adjuster license: 6-20 or 5-20.
• Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone and available Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
• Strong knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws, benefit structures, claims processes, indemnity payments, and return-to-work programs.
• Strong investigative, analytical, negotiation, decision-making, and communication skills, plus proficiency with claims management systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical-only, lost time, or blended Workers' Compensation portfolios.
• Experience with EDI reporting and jurisdictional compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with nurse case management and medical cost containment strategies.
• Additional active adjuster licenses or ability to obtain licenses as required.
