What you will do

• Qualify AWS opportunities by assessing technical, commercial, and financial viability.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to design cost-effective AWS solutions across infrastructure, data and AI, and application modernization.
• Lead cloud financial management discussions and identify cost optimization opportunities through architecture and AWS pricing models.
• Manage the technical sales lifecycle, including RFP responses, proposals, and contract discussions.
• Deliver executive presentations, workshops, and demonstrations focused on business value, ROI, and cloud transformation outcomes.
• Conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews with an emphasis on cost optimization and long-term customer success.

Requirements

• Experience in technology pre-sales, cloud consulting, or Cloud FinOps.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, WAF, EKS, or ECS.
• Expertise in AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, Compute Optimizer, and AWS Budgets.
• Experience optimizing cloud spend through Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, and storage tiering.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification at Associate or Professional level.
• Fluent or professional English is required; valid working rights for South Africa are required.
