Senior Network Engineer (Network Security)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; office attendance required once per week. Remote work options may depend on the project.

What you will do

• Provide second-level technical support for WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, DMZ, partner connections, firewalls, proxies, remote access, and VPN services.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, packet capture analysis, and resolution of complex network and security incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and manage escalation and follow-up through resolution.
• Lead cross-functional infrastructure task forces for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service improvement.
• Monitor network and security infrastructure proactively to identify trends, recurring issues, and events before they affect users.
• Ensure tickets and projects comply with corporate security standards, Computer Systems Validation and Compliance rules, and internal processes.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with at least 3–4 years in IT and hands-on experience troubleshooting and configuring network and security devices.
• Solid knowledge of WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, remote access, firewalls, internet proxies, load balancers, and data centers.
• Experience with complex network and security incidents, packet capture, monitoring tools, and network management tools.
• Knowledge of network security concepts, including DMZs, VLANs, and partner connections.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical task forces and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco ACI.
