Automation Engineer (Siemens PLC)

What you will do

• Program, configure, troubleshoot, and commission Siemens PLCs and control systems using TIA Portal.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across PLCs, drives, HMIs, electrical systems, and industrial networks.
• Support manufacturing operations, minimize equipment downtime, and improve equipment availability and reliability.
• Lead or support Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, equipment implementation, and commissioning.
• Design and implement equipment upgrades to improve safety, compliance, performance, and reliability.
• Manage PLC backups, software version control, engineering change control, technical documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or HNC/HND with significant relevant industrial experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Siemens PLCs and automation systems, with strong TIA Portal programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with drive technologies, HMI systems, industrial control systems, BUS systems, and Ethernet/IP communications.
• Experience designing, maintaining, improving, and commissioning automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of FAT/SAT processes, functional safety, risk assessments, compliance standards, Lean Manufacturing, and engineering change control.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and structured fault-finding skills.
