Electrician (Electrical Infrastructure)

Location: Field-based role covering London and the South-East of the UK; work is performed at project sites

What you will do

• Install, test, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, including switchgear, transformers, control panels, and power distribution equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Review engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, contractors, field teams, and clients.
• Prepare technical reports, test results, and as-built documentation.
• Apply safety procedures, quality standards, and electrical code requirements at project sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 18th Edition qualification and C+G 2365 Level 3.
• 2–5+ years of field experience, depending on job level.
• Strong understanding of power systems, protection, and control circuits.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of PLCs, drives, and automation systems.
• Professional Engineer or EIT certification.
• OSHA Electrical Safety Certification.
• NFPA 70E or IEC safety training.
• HV/LV Switching authorization.
