Commissioning Engineer (Power Systems Automation)

Location: Multiple U.S. locations: Lewis Center, Ohio; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Alpharetta, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Wesley Chapel, Florida. The role requires domestic and international travel of at least 60% and includes work at customer locations.

Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year, with the range subject to level, experience, training, knowledge, and skills.

What you will do

• Commission, functionally test, troubleshoot, and diagnose control system logic, communications, inputs and outputs, and field wiring at customer sites.
• Contribute to power system automation designs, logic and HMI development, functional testing, and documentation.
• Complete assigned engineering work within scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Prepare functional design specifications and maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and deliverables.
• Apply operational, manufacturing, quality, and safety principles to engineering services projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or significant experience in automation and commissioning of power control systems.
• At least 2 years of relevant application experience with electric power systems, industry practices, and automation or power systems.
• Knowledge of electric power system protection and control, integration or automation, and communications applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at least 60%.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.
