TL;DR
Program Coordinator I (Medical Education): Coordinating the Rural Medicine Track for undergraduate medical education with an accent on clerkship scheduling, student development, preceptor relationships, and accreditation support. Location: College Station, Texas, United States. Full-time staff position; travel of up to 10% or more may be required, along with work beyond normal office hours or on weekends.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the Rural Medicine Track and third-year undergraduate medical education clerkships.
  • Develop and manage longitudinal integrated curricula, course schedules, electives, syllabi, training materials, examinations, lectures, and clinical learning sessions.
  • Use Canvas, Elentra, time-clock systems, and other learning management and software applications to support course delivery.
  • Monitor student well-being and performance, provide learning resources, and support student development and mentorship.
  • Build relationships with community physicians, clinical staff, healthcare systems, clinics, and community organizations; assist with recruiting clinical faculty.
  • Compile accreditation data and prepare materials for institutional and program compliance, including LCME requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in higher education administration.
  • At least two years of related experience in medical education or higher education administration.
  • Knowledge of undergraduate medical education policies, procedures, and student handbook guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, problem-solving, conflict management, mediation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple activities independently, meet deadlines, and work cooperatively with administrators, faculty, students, and partners.
  • Strict confidentiality is required for FERPA and HIPAA documentation.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree and three or more years of related experience.
  • Experience with learning management systems such as eCampus or Canvas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Canva, and advanced Excel.
