Field Safety Coordinator

What you will do

• Support operations, maintenance, and contractor personnel with health and safety programs, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, safety walks, permit reviews, and observations across plant equipment, work areas, and practices.
• Coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices, regulatory requirements, hazard controls, and safety management systems.
• Lead or support safety training, job hazard analyses, field permitting activities, and the implementation of engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
• Support industrial hygiene programs, including noise surveys, atmospheric monitoring, ventilation surveys, and exposure monitoring.
• Collect safety data and employee feedback, recommend improvements, and assist with EHSS procedures and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Experience with health, safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental standards in field operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Experience with safety audits and inspections, chemical operations, safety systems, and health and safety metrics.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet fit-for-duty requirements and maintain a current TWIC card and valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: 6–10 years of relevant occupational safety and health experience and a two- or four-year degree in occupational safety and health.

Nice to have

• Safety certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, COSS, or CIH.
