EH&S Coordinator (Manufacturing)

Location: Full-time onsite position based in Gallatin, Tennessee, United States. Up to 10% domestic travel may be required. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $28.46–$45.53 per hour

What you will do

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and documentation of site EH&S programs, procedures, management systems, permits, and compliance activities.
• Conduct workplace and environmental inspections, safety observations, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate EH&S training, onboarding activities, safety committees, employee observations, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with reporting and investigating injuries, illnesses, near misses, property damage, and environmental incidents.
• Maintain EH&S metrics, databases, dashboards, records, reports, and corrective-action tracking through closure.
• Support emergency response planning, drills, evacuation exercises, fire protection activities, and business continuity preparations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, engineering, EH&S management, or a related field preferred; an associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.
• Two to five years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, construction, or industrial environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, workplace safety, hazard recognition, risk assessment, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, machine safeguarding, and energy control (LOTO).
• Familiarity with environmental compliance, waste management, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and EH&S management systems preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, data management, and follow-through skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in manufacturing, warehouse, and office areas, including exposure to noise, moving equipment, vibration, temperature extremes, dust, and other industrial conditions.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification, or the ability to obtain it within three months of hire.
• OHST, ASP, or another relevant professional credential.
