Assembly Technician (Robotics)

Location: Hayward, CA, United States; on-site. Day shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, or swing shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Salary: $30.00–$39.00 per hour plus equity.

What you will do

• Build precision mechanical subassemblies for NEO humanoid robots according to engineering requirements.
• Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, correct torque specifications, and first-time inspection quality.
• Identify and escalate process issues, tooling problems, and recurring defects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and ESD-compliant work area.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, torque wrenches, and gauges.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform sustained physical work throughout a shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and effective in a team environment.
• Professional-level written and verbal English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience assembling robotics, aerospace, medical devices, or other precision mechanical products.
• Familiarity with ESD procedures and controlled manufacturing environments.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume, or early-stage production environments.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
