Incremental Build Technician (3rd Shift)

Location: Fully onsite in Sidney, Ohio, USA; third shift with five eight-hour workdays and potential overtime. Not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

What you will do

• Work with engineers to create and test bearing technology for centrifugal compression systems.
• Assemble, test, and validate oil-free centrifugal compressor components in a laboratory environment.
• Operate laser welders, hydraulic presses, micrometers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, voltage meters, and hand tools.
• Fabricate components through heat treating, welding, brazing, soldering, grinding, lapping, drilling, tapping, and wiring.
• Collect and document build data to meet standards and takt times.
• Support laboratory maintenance, 5S+1 audits, safety walks, and quality checks.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment and basic instrumentation.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical manufacturing equipment, tool and die work, brazing, or soldering.
• Familiarity with control systems and basic PLC concepts.
• Automotive or diesel mechanics experience or certifications.
