Tooling Technician

What you will do

• Interpret blueprints and tooling designs and implement engineering changes on molds and tools.
• Troubleshoot, repair, retrofit, and perform preventive maintenance on molds and tooling.
• Repair hot runner systems, valve-operated gating systems, water leaks, and tooling damage.
• Perform mold troubleshooting and repairs in the press during production runs.
• Maintain safe and efficient work practices using required personal protective equipment and safety devices.

Requirements

• At least one year of continuous employment experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and tool drawings.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hand tool use and care.
