Heavy Equipment Operator (Recycling and Waste)

Location: Fall River, Massachusetts, USA; onsite work at a recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station

Salary: $24.10–$33.10 per hour, depending on the hiring locality

What you will do

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders.
• Transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and monitor equipment condition.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain clean equipment tracks or wheels.
• Perform and document minor equipment service and report complex repairs to the maintenance shop.
• Complete equipment condition reports and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong time management, follow-through, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow company policies, safety standards, and assigned work schedules.
