Equipment Operator (Industrial Waste Management)

Location: Dickerson, Maryland, United States; onsite

Salary: $27.36–$36.39 per hour

What you will do

• Receive and process inbound materials and refuse using forklifts, track hoes, skid steers, vacuum trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, walking floor trailers, pressure washers, and other equipment.
• Weigh, unpack, label, and handle containers as required.
• Consolidate refuse on the tipping floor and maintain safe, efficient industrial operations.
• Perform housekeeping and exterior site maintenance, including litter collection, painting, snow removal, and ice prevention.
• Control incoming and outgoing traffic and assist facility mechanics with equipment repairs.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience operating industrial equipment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
