Controls Engineer Intern (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Assist with the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, drives, and other control-system components.
• Troubleshoot and debug electrical and control systems on automated machinery.
• Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Support system upgrades, customer projects, new product development, equipment validation, and performance testing.
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming platforms such as Rockwell Automation or Siemens.
• Familiarity with HMI development, industrial automation, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

• Previous experience with manufacturing, robotics, automation, or industrial controls.
