Control Systems Engineer (PLC/Automation)

Location: On-site in Corona, California, United States; up to 10% domestic travel.

Compensation: $124,127–$151,710 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Apply AC/DC motion control, digital and analog systems, operator and machine interfaces, data acquisition, PID, PLC control, systems integration, and commissioning.
• Manage local program formats, change processes, and related procedures.
• Provide in-plant controls support to plant engineering crafts-persons and resolve control issues.
• Coordinate work with local and remote Information Technology support.
• Coordinate and support capital project activities with Project Engineering resources.
• Participate in plant Safety, Health, Environmental, and Six Sigma Lean processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, completed and verified before starting.
• At least five years of experience with PLC programming, HMI development, industrial controls, and automation systems in a manufacturing, private, public, government, or military environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Automation.
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Project management experience and experience managing third-party contractors and vendors.
• Experience with Management of Change processes, Wonderware, Schneider Concept, Control Expert PLC programming, or ACP Thin Manager.
• Experience with mining and industrial rock processing equipment.
