Analog Design Intern (Analog IC)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; onsite internship at the Ottawa Design Centre.

Salary: CAD 26–28.5 per hour.

hirify.global’s Signal Integrity Products group develops high-performance optical networking platforms and high-speed analog chips for data centers, enterprise networks, wireless infrastructure, and passive optical networks.

What you will do

• Design, develop, verify, and characterize analog and mixed-signal circuits for data communications products.
• Work with phase-locked loops, equalizers, optical and cable receivers, drivers, and other analog circuit building blocks.
• Use BiCMOS and CMOS technologies in high-speed analog IC development.
• Apply CAD tools for circuit design, layout, simulation, and verification.
• Develop scripting for IC design and validation automation using Python, Skill, TCL, and related tools.
• Work with senior designers who provide mentoring and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Good understanding of analog electronic circuit fundamentals.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team environment.
• Student available for a 12–16 month full-time internship.
• Desired start date: May 2027.

Nice to have

• Exposure to transistor-level circuit design and analysis.
• Exposure to CAD circuit design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.
• Experience with Python or scripting languages such as MATLAB.
