Claims Handler (Property Claims)

Location: Leeds, UK — hybrid working with 4 days in the office and 1 day from home

What you will do

• Manage a varied caseload from first notification through resolution.
• Handle low-value property damage claims, including escape of water, storm, fire, theft, accidental damage, and property or equipment losses.
• Handle Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims.
• Review claim information and policy coverage, making ownership-based decisions on customer outcomes.
• Liaise with customers, brokers, loss adjusters, and third parties, including through proactive outbound calls.
• Prioritise workload, meet service standards, and build relationships across the claims network.

Requirements

• Experience with property claims, including household, personal lines, domestic, commercial, or first-party property claims.
• Experience in liability claims, EL/PL claims, insurance claims handling, legal expenses claims, or claims-focused paralegal work is also relevant.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers and brokers.
• Strong organisation, time management, independent working, and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Genuine interest in building a long-term career in insurance claims.
