Business Performance Improvement - People & Change Org Design Senior Consultant

Location: Hybrid work in New York City, Boston, or Washington, DC–McLean, with work in local offices and on client sites; local or out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $104,000–$156,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus target; estimated total cash range of $114,400–$171,600.

What you will do

• Lead current-state and future-state organizational design and modeling engagements, including spans and layers, organizational health, organizational shape, and individual-contributor-to-manager ratio analysis.
• Facilitate role design, job architecture, job-family structuring, job mapping, activity analysis, capacity planning, and workforce sizing.
• Design target operating models and interaction models that translate business strategy into organizational structures.
• Own workstreams independently, including scope, work plans, staffing, deliverables, and methodology application.
• Lead stakeholder interviews, working sessions, and leadership workshops using design-thinking approaches.
• Mentor and coach interns and consultants while developing executive-ready presentations and client deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 2+ years at the Senior Consultant level and 3–5 years of overall experience in organizational design, organizational effectiveness, or workforce/HR advisory.
• Experience working with HRIS and workforce data, including systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience leading stakeholder interviews, facilitating workshops, communicating organizational risks to executives, and supervising or mentoring teams.
• Ability to work in the hybrid US-based model, including in-person work at local offices and client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Visio, Orgvue, Nakisa, or comparable organizational design platforms.
• Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PMP, or similar.
