Digital IC Design Engineering Intern

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 26–28.5 per hour

hirify.global’s Signal Integrity Products group develops high-performance optical networking platforms and mixed-signal chips for hyperscale data centers, enterprise networks, wireless infrastructure, and passive optical networks.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and verify digital circuits for data communications products.
• Design, lay out, simulate, and verify digital blocks using modern CAD tools.
• Contribute to synthesis, DFT insertion, and static timing analysis and closure.
• Support project milestones and objectives as part of the Digital Design group.
• Work with senior designers and receive technical mentoring throughout the internship.

Requirements

• Strong academic understanding of digital electronic circuit fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team.
• Student availability for a 12–16-month internship in Ottawa, Canada.
• Desired start date: May 2027.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
• Exposure to CAD tools used in digital design flows.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
