Lead Project Technician (SAP)

Location: Gonzales, Louisiana, United States; hybrid work schedules are available.

What you will do

• Create SAP projects, route capital project requests, monitor approvals, and close project structures.
• Prepare capitalization submissions, project cost reports, and status updates for project engineers and gatekeeping reports.
• Process asset disposal requests and resolve project issues identified by project accounting and accounts payable.
• Maintain site, cost center, profit center, contract, and delegation-of-authority records for the EGC region.
• Act as a SAP Project Systems power user, designate user roles, resolve complex issues, and train project resources.
• Support strategic planning, turnaround preparation, outage execution, and safe delivery of small capital projects under $5 million.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of experience in plant projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP and Microsoft applications.
• Strong organizational, planning, leadership, and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and the ability to influence engineering, manufacturing, and business managers.
• Ability to obtain TWIC and passport credentials and pass refinery background checks.
• Ability to obtain required state certifications, pass criminal and drug and alcohol screening, and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
