Digital IC Design Engineering Intern (Digital IC Design)

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada; onsite at the Burlington Design Centre

Salary: $26–$28.50 CAD per hour

hirify.global develops mixed-signal IC products for data communications and broadcast video applications through its Signal Integrity Products Division.

What you will do

• Design RTL blocks for digital subsystems in next-generation mixed-signal ICs.
• Interpret architecture and detailed design specifications to create RTL and verification code.
• Functionally verify designs and components using constrained-random verification.
• Create scripts and methodologies to improve or automate digital design processes.
• Implement designs using CAD tools, including synthesis, DFT insertion, and static timing analysis.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, and system engineers, marketing, and product teams on requirements, documentation, bring-up, lab debugging, and validation.

Requirements

• Completed at least three years of a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Basic understanding of digital design or microelectronics, supported by strong academic performance.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
• Knowledge or experience with C/C++, Perl, Python, SystemVerilog, or Visual Basic.
• Working knowledge of PC and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or experience with object-oriented programming, particularly C++.
