Cleans AME Maintenance Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Malta, New York, United States. Full-time onsite role at the Fab 8 semiconductor manufacturing facility. Flexible availability for alternating 12-hour day or night shifts is required.

Salary: $43,100–$70,600 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor manufacturing equipment and assigned processes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to operating procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues.
• Recover equipment after process interruptions, document events, and communicate shift handoffs.
• Collaborate with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a two-year technical degree, two years of relevant military experience, or four years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to work onsite in the Malta, New York facility and in a cleanroom environment for extended periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, use hand tools, and work with required PPE during 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to lift, pull, or carry at least 50 pounds periodically; loads above 50 pounds require a two-person lift.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• English fluency in written and verbal communication and availability for alternating day or night shifts.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent engineering technology, military, trade, or professional experience.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with statistical process control, structured troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and procedure development.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
