Business Systems Analyst (Mid)

Location: On-site in Washington, DC, United States. Active TS/SCI security clearance required.

What you will do

• Lead the collection, prioritization, and documentation of user needs from concept development through user story creation and deployment.
• Gather business requirements and support product teams and product owners in defining and managing backlogs.
• Document business needs through concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, user stories, business rules, and workflow diagrams.
• Develop data standards, data models, schemas, and a repository while supporting system integration and implementation.
• Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data catalog, including tool assessments, dataset definitions, guidance, outreach, and user training.
• Identify barriers to information sharing and facilitate data exchange agreements and implementation of solutions.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with data management and governance frameworks such as DAMA and DMBoK, plus understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle.
• Strong documentation, analytical thinking, quantitative analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to interpret documents and combine technical understanding with business communication.
• Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• Exposure to enterprise data-sharing strategies or interagency agreements.
• Experience supporting data mesh implementations.
• Experience with data governance tools or data catalogs.
