Senior Underwriter, Marine

Location: Singapore; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Independently underwrite marine risks and structure complex programs received from key broker partners.
• Maintain and develop key distribution partnerships.
• Manage underwriting processes in line with Marine Underwriting Guidelines and risk appetite.
• Provide technical underwriting guidance and training to junior team members.
• Support budgeting, portfolio management, and assigned underwriting projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Marine Cargo underwriting.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and departments.
• Strong attention to detail and a service-oriented approach.
• Ability to understand and execute departmental and company objectives.
• Competence in Windows-based Microsoft Office programs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Marine Liability products.
