Assistant Manager, Actuarial

What you will do

• Support APAC valuation activities for Australia and Singapore, including US GAAP, local statutory, reserve, and expense reporting.
• Set reserves for financial close and perform detailed claims, loss ratio, and prior-year development analyses.
• Support IFRS 17 reporting, implementation, transition to business-as-usual processes, and related audit requirements.
• Prepare data and help develop and maintain claims and actuarial databases and analytical dashboards.
• Optimize and streamline reserving processes while maintaining controls and documentation.
• Participate in reserving projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
• Associate-level qualification or active pursuit of actuarial qualifications through a recognized actuarial body.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Experience with valuation and reporting processes, including health insurance and health claims.
• Strong knowledge or interest in Alteryx, AWS, ResQ, SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, numerical, communication, presentation, and process-automation skills.

Nice to have

• Understanding of IFRS 17.
• Experience with healthcare systems.
