Associate, Credit Risk Operations (Debt Collections)

What you will do

• Build collections playbooks, escalation matrices, and recovery strategies as the global collections function scales.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to design and optimize automated collections systems and interaction logging.
• Work with Accounting to establish bad-debt provisioning based on portfolio risk, customer communications, and repayment adherence.
• Engage high-risk and delinquent accounts to negotiate viable repayment structures.
• Investigate account activity and root-cause risks to create tailored recovery plans.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Risk Operations, Compliance, and Legal teams while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and debt recovery standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct experience in B2B debt collection, commercial recovery management, or credit risk operations within fintech, SaaS, or commercial banking.
• Strong understanding of bad-debt provisioning, credit risk dynamics, and debt collection compliance frameworks.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• High proficiency in English, written and verbal.
• Comfort working with complex data and analytics to draw meaningful insights.
• Proactive, results-oriented approach with strong attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through.
