Quality Engineer LAND / UGV (m/f/d) (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Göppingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with the option to work remotely one flexible day per week.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve inspection plans, quality inspection instructions, and quality processes for Mandrill UGVs and future LAND platforms.
• Lead root-cause analyses using methods such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5-Why, and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage deviations and non-conformances, including assessment, approval, and follow-up.
• Support supplier quality management, incoming goods inspection, process audits, product audits, and certification or customer audits.
• Analyze quality KPIs such as scrap, rework, and first-pass yield, and implement improvement actions.
• Contribute to validation builds and LRIP ramp-up activities while collaborating with Production, Industrialization, Engineering, Testing, and Logistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification; equivalent quality engineering experience is also considered.
• Experience in manufacturing quality management, preferably in automotive, mechanical engineering, aerospace, robotics, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, SPC, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Experience with measurement and inspection equipment, technical drawings, and inspection instructions.
• Analytical, structured, solution-oriented approach and the confidence to stop and escalate quality issues when standards are not met.
• Good German and English language skills required.
