Senior Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Monitor the assembly, integration, and testing cycle of launch vehicle assemblies and plan quality control activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Oversee production and engineering processes, including the use of tools, materials, and procedures, and define quality metrics.
• Evaluate nonconformities, identify corrective and preventive actions, and propose solutions for test-related issues.
• Create quality and safety documentation, prepare quality control plans, and review related documentation.
• Plan product inspections and manage internal audits while collaborating with internal teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering, management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a highly regulated production environment such as aerospace, defense, or automotive, including at least 3 years in quality or testing.
• Experience with statistical quality control methods in manufacturing.
• Experience with cause-effect analysis and problem-solving methods, including 5 Why Analysis, 8D Reports, and Fishbone/Ishikawa Diagrams.
• Good knowledge of AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015, with Internal Auditor certification.
• Knowledge of CFRP manufacturing and testing, APQP, and ISO 9145 is advantageous; fluent English and German are advantageous.
