Assembly Handling Systems Development Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Develop and deploy material handling technology for next-generation semiconductor packaging.
• Create handling process recipes and design and validate nozzle tooling for high-accuracy, high-speed pick-and-place systems.
• Investigate process and equipment issues on the manufacturing floor while meeting quality and reliability standards.
• Test and validate hardware and software upgrades against product requirements.
• Develop solutions from platform specification through validation, deployment, and rollout to high-volume manufacturing sites.
• Improve quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability, productivity, and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 1 year of work experience.
• Fundamental understanding of motion control, high-accuracy and high-speed robotic systems, and vision systems.
• Fundamental understanding of semiconductor devices and packaging technology.
• Ability to apply scientific and engineering principles to high-volume manufacturing process design.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and deploying automated material handling systems, including AMR, AGV, conveyors, stockers, automated storage, and manufacturing equipment integration.
• Background in high-speed, high-accuracy pick-and-place systems and 2D vision systems.
• Mechanical design experience with CAD, SolidWorks, GD&T, SPC, and DOE.
• Familiarity with advanced autonomous manufacturing concepts at Level 5 and above.
