Technician 3, Engineering (Hard Disk Drive Validation)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; onsite at the KL COE Office. This position is only open to Malaysian applicants due to limitations on expatriate hiring.

What you will do

• Prepare drives and test systems according to validation requests.
• Execute, monitor, and complete validation requests within established timelines.
• Escalate automation issues to engineers and support infrastructure recovery plans.
• Perform first-level failure analysis across systems, drives, equipment, and automation.
• Interpret validation results and provide effective recommendations.
• Maintain inventory tracking, system management records, equipment, spare parts, and failure-analysis devices.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronic, Electrical, Computer, or Telecommunication Engineering.
• 1–4 years of related experience, preferably in testing or product engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, process analysis, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to support the night shift Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Hardware and software debugging experience.
