Assistant General Manager (Jewelry Retail)

Location: Jared Jewelers - Westminster City Center, Westminster, Colorado, United States

Base pay: $16.50–$21.00 per hour, plus commission on sales. Final pay depends on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Assume the General Manager’s duties and responsibilities during their absence.
• Support store sales targets, customer satisfaction, promotions, displays, and special events.
• Supervise sales, office, and inventory personnel; assist with recruiting, interviews, training, meetings, and role plays.
• Manage customer flow, staffing coverage, complaints, merchandise presentation, inventory control, and store maintenance.
• Apply sales, credit, administrative, security, and loss prevention policies while controlling markdowns, expenses, and payroll.
• Build expertise in jewelry, repairs, custom design, warranties, services, Diamontology, and GIA Gemology.

• Ability to achieve outstanding sales performance and demonstrate excellent product knowledge.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, delegate, make decisions, and accept responsibility.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, persuasion, and floor-awareness skills.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, reliability, dependability, and a cooperative team style.
• Completion of required information security, safety, training, and minimum training requirements quizzes, as applicable.
• Ability to work opening and closing shifts and increased hours during peak selling periods.
