Staff Data Scientist (Computer Vision)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite at 1375 Crossman Avenue

Salary: $172,170–$286,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Conduct exploratory data analysis, data quality checks, experiment design, and test-and-learn framework development.
• Design, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and computer vision models to production.
• Develop continuous online learning and iterative model enhancements, while monitoring model behavior and production metrics.
• Process large-scale structured, unstructured, and 3D data, including scans, meshes, point clouds, reconstruction, image classification, object detection, and segmentation.
• Translate business problems and requirements into data science, mathematical, and modeling solutions for automated inventory management and compliance.
• Present findings, communicate recommendations, and collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams through PoC and PoV stages.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of analytics experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of analytics experience.
• Experience designing, training, fine-tuning, and deploying deep learning neural networks, with dataset curation, augmentation, evaluation, tracking, and updating.
• Programming experience with Python and C++ for machine learning and computer vision systems.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Git, code reviews, privacy and compliance tooling, and CI/CD workflows including Jenkins.
• Experience with image classification, object detection, segmentation, statistical methods, probability distributions, and machine learning models.
• Experience processing 3D scans, meshes, and point clouds using neural network-based and classical geometry-based reconstruction methods.
